Navigating the College Admissions Process as a Parent

A great amount of research, resources, programs, and activities go into student development and enhancing the student experience, especially regarding students developing as emerging academic and industrial leaders. I believe that individual leadership development is not uniquely tied to higher education or the milestone of graduation, but grows as one gains professional and personal experience. Campus staff members are often placed in leadership positions on committees and projects, though are not often provided with ways to grow their leadership identity development. This presentation will walk staff through the Leadership Identity Development (LID) model, promote group discussion, and provide resources on how staff can tap into their leadership development journey.

Research Data Literacy: Empowering Excellence Through Data-Informed Decision Making

This presentation aims to improve workforce capacity to implement data-informed decision-making by training existing employees to access, review, interpret, and communicate data. This includes the ability to formulate questions or hypotheses, gather and analyze data (both qualitative and quantitative), analyze the data, and draw meaningful conclusions and action steps. Three key insights will be discussed: Understanding data sources and data quality; exploring the Lehigh toolkit and access approvals; and introducing data analytics skills and tools.
